Closure during the covid-19 outbreak:
Notice to the valued members of our community
In these unprecedented times, Breathe Parkour is taking action to ensure the safety, well being, and health of our community, now and for the long term.
Opening on January 1st, 2011, Breathe Parkour has been promoting the development of our sport in our community for nearly a decade. We’ve been proud of the service we’ve offered, and the athletes we’ve seen develop in our gyms and through our programs.
With the announcement of the local state of emergency in Calgary, as of March 16th, 2020, Breathe Parkour will be closing our doors immediately, until such time as it is safe to reopen. As a small, locally owned and operated business, this was a very difficult decision which will have long lasting, uncertain effects on our community, our employees, and our business.
Rest assured that we are confident this situation will be temporary, and are looking forward to providing a world class experience in the near future. Until such time as we are able to reopen, we are placing all scheduled services back onto people’s accounts for future use. We have also included a suspension form, in the event that you would like to place your membership on hold for the time being. All suspension fees will be waived during this period. Simply complete the form and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org for processing.
That being said, these are unprecedented times which call for unprecedented levels of communication and cooperation, and so we would like to request assistance from our community. If you are able to continue to offer support through this time it would be incredibly helpful and supportive if you leave your membership active during our closure. We know this is a big ask, and understand if it’s not possible. As our way of thanking you for that support, we will offer a personal training session for each full month you leave your membership active, to be used once we reopen.
As a small business that has prided ourselves on our sustainable practices, this is difficult to ask, but we know that the support of our community through this troubled time will ensure that our transition back to normalcy is quick, and gives us the best chance to endure this unexpected situation.
In the meantime, please stay tuned to our social media channels to get updated information on the situation as it pertains to the closure, as well as a “training tips for those at home” series we are planning on putting out.
As always, we are here to answer any questions or concerns you might have. The best way to reach us during this time will be via email at email@example.com.
Stay safe and healthy,
The Breathe Parkour Team
